However, I did see a lot of similarly containerized electronic equipment when I worked for Headquarters Australian Defence Force.
The US Navy had an interesting approach of using webbing straps to hold equipment down, which I saw on the 7th Fleet Flagship. The straps have a bit of "give" to absorb some of the bumps. The US Marines made do with gaffer tape. ;-)
