Savvis sells assets to Microsoft
Savvis sold assets in two adjacent data centers in Santa Clara, Calif., to Microsoft Corp. for $200 million. This includes forgiveness on $10 million of previously advanced revenue.
I wonder if or when the same sort of purchase will happen in Tukwila (Just south of Seattle.) Savvis operates an ex-Exodus/C&W facility there which last I checked was nothing but Microsoft. Microsoft have soaked up all the available power so Savvis can't sell to anyone else. Try to buy colo from Savvis in Tukwila at anything more than a rack... they won't, or can't do that for you.
